{"id":169,"date":"2018-12-26T03:11:46","date_gmt":"2018-12-26T03:11:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/scp-ph.com\/blogsite\/?p=169"},"modified":"2018-12-26T03:11:46","modified_gmt":"2018-12-26T03:11:46","slug":"doing-business-2019-training-for-reform","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/scp-ph.com\/blogsite\/?p=169","title":{"rendered":"Doing Business 2019: Training for Reform"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>DOING BUSINESS 2019: TRAINING FOR REFORM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Doing Business\u00a02019: Training for Reform, a World Bank Group flagship publication, is the 16th in a series of annual reports measuring the regulations that enhance business activity and those that constrain it.\u00a0Doing Business<em>\u00a0<\/em>presents quantitative indicators on business regulations and the protection of property rights that can be compared across 190 economies\u2014from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe\u2014and over time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Doing Business measures regulations affecting 11 areas of the life of a business. Ten of these are included in the year\u2019s ranking on the ease of doing business: starting a business, dealing with construction permits, getting electricity, registering property, getting credit, protecting minority investors, paying taxes, trading across borders, enforcing contracts and resolving insolvency. Doing Business also measures labor market regulation, which is not included in this year\u2019s ranking.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Data in Doing Business 2019 are current as of May 1, 2018. The indicators are used to analyzed economic outcomes and identify what reforms of business regulation have worked, where and why.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Economies are ranked on their ease of doing business, from 1-190.\u00a0 A high ease of doing business\u00a0ranking means the regulatory environment is more conducive to the starting and operation of a local firm.
